and wanting. He brings up the trend of putting your desires "out there" by deciding ( what you want), affirm it, visualize it,
and " it will eventually happen."
To me, this always seemed silly, but it was a popular thing to do and still is, by those
in the New Age community.( 0r, any other community!)
Sun Bear goes on to say that the difference is this: " Yes, you are a part of God, yes, you can have whatever you
want. However those two things together seem a little crazy to us. Understand from our perspective it is:
"I am the Great Spirit. I have what I want."
I get great comfort from this book..it feels like a good friend.

While reading a passage in The Old Soul's Guide, I felt a spark within ignite. This book spoke directly to my heart and spirit opening my being to deeper levels of joy, passion, creativity, and playfulness. Mataare's writing is wise, uplifting and inspirational. It has given me gratitude for being alive, and a renewed passion for life.
I guess I wasn't expecting this book to be written like a dreamers' Dream book. Written in alphabetical list fashion, I was a little taken aback.
I use this book a lot and thoroughly enjoy it! It is thought provoking and speaks to my soul at the deepest level. I highly recommend this book to others who have an open mind and enjoy deep thinking.
Very inspiring and uplifting. I read this book everyday.
This is one of my favorite books. It is jammed packed with great points of view of the spiritual aspects of life many of which I have not read in other books. For me this is best consumed slowly while contemplating the many different references and quotes of spiritual issues which make me think very deeply. I love this book.
